Pablo has moved closer to making his Flamengo debut after the central defender posted an image from full team training.
The 30-year-old signed from Locomotiv Moscow last month, but has been sidelined with a knee ligament injury since arriving back in his homeland.
“Another day focused on preparation,” a post from his Twitter account read, with an image showing his involvement in ball work during Sunday’s session at Ninho do Urubu.
The Rubro-Negro are not blessed with options in the centre-back position at the moment, and could certainly do with the twice-capped Brazil international’s services.
Léo Pereira, David Luiz and Willian Arão made up a shaky back three during Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Atlético Goianiense, as the Mengão got their Brasileirão campaign off to an unconvincing start.
It is doubtful Pablo will be in contention for Tuesday’s Copa Libertadores date with Talleres Córdoba of Argentina.
But there is no shortage of fixtures coming up, so manager Paulo Sousa will no doubt be keen to get Pablo up to speed as soon as possible.
