Inter Miami come into their next MLS fixture on a high, having won their last three league matches. Their most recent outing was a 4-1 victory over CF Montréal, with Lionel Messi bagging a brace in a dominant attacking display.
Under Javier Mascherano, Miami have also looked sharp on the road, going unbeaten in their last three away games. However, defensive frailties remain a concern, they’ve failed to keep a clean sheet in their last four away fixtures, often leaving space at the back despite their offensive firepower.
On the other side, the New England Revolution continue to struggle this season. Currently sitting 11th in the Eastern Conference, they are winless in nine of their last 10 matches and have gone four games without winning. Their latest setback came in a 2-1 loss at Portland Timbers.
Home form has been particularly troubling for Caleb Porter’s side, who are winless in their last five matches at Gillette Stadium, suffering three defeats in that span. Defensive lapses have been a recurring issue, with the team conceding at least three goals in three of those games.
With Inter Miami’s attack firing and New England’s defense under pressure, all signs point to a challenging night ahead for the hosts.
Here's everything you need to know about New England Revolution vs. Inter Miami
Inter Miami's attack remains in top form, with Lionel Messi scoring two at a time and Telasco Segovia learning faster from the Argentine star. However, head coach Javier Mascherano faces a growing challenge at the back, with Yannick Bright, Noah Allen and Gonzalo Luján all sidelined due to injury, leaving Miami's defense severely weakened.
On the other side, New England Revolution has former Miami striker Leonardo Campana, Carlos Gil formerly of Valencia and Luca Langoni, who scored the only goal for them in a losing effort, his first of the 2025 MLS campaign against Portland Timbers in the last match.
While Inter Miami’s backline has been under scrutiny, the New England Revolution is also struggling for form, with only one victory in the last 10 games and four games without a win. That dip in form could lead head coach Caleb Porter to reconsider his tactical approach as the New England Revolution look to regain momentum and get back on track.
