New England Revolution have confirmed on Friday that goalkeeper Matt Turner will depart for Arsenal this summer.
“New England Revolution have agreed to terms for goalkeeper Matt Turner to join Arsenal of the English Premier League in a summer transfer for an undisclosed fee pending completion of a medical,” read the club statement.

The 27-year-old “is expected” to make the switch in June allowing him to continue playing in the United States for part of the 2022 MLS regular season.
Turner has become a household name in the United States for both club and country and was named Major League Soccer’s Goalkeeper of the Year for 2021.
