According to Rising Stars on X, the move to Chelsea leaves Essugo out of the UEFA European U21 Championship The young midfielder will participate in the FIFA Club World Cup.

Essugo looks like a top young rising star and as Chelsea like to do and as is their new way of operating and recruiting, they are signing the top young players around the world before they become big names and too expensive, and then being able to sign them for a cheaper fee and hope that they turn into world beaters and then if not, they will spin them for a profit instead.

It is a strategy that is not overly well received by the majority of the Chelsea fan base.
