The capacity of SIGNAL IDUNA PARK for the home match against Bayern Munich next Saturday (18:30 CET) has been reduced to 15,000 spectators at short notice. The new advance sale will start on Friday (3 December) at 10:00 CET. All tickets issued so far will be cancelled and are therefore invalid.

Due to the current infection situation, the federal and state governments agreed at a digital conference on Thursday that attendance at stadiums will be limited to one third of the stadium's overall capacity and no more than a maximum of 15,000 spectators. For SIGNAL IDUNA PARK, Germany's largest stadium with a capacity of 81,365, this means the maximum permitted capacity of 15,000 spectators will use up just 18.4% of the stadium's overall capacity.

Only seated tickets will be available. Seating in SIGNAL IDUNA PARK will be in the four-seat chessboard pattern that was used at the beginning of the season. The 15,000 seats will be distributed over the four lower tiers and the north upper tier. The 2G rules apply to all spectators.

Based on this decision, a new advance sale will start on Friday (3 December) at 10:00 CET in the BVB online ticket shop. For the sake of fairness, this is aimed exclusively at seated-area season ticket holders who had activated their season ticket(s), as well as standing-room season ticket holders who had already purchased a ticket for the match against Bayern Munich. These persons may purchase up to two tickets.

If tickets are still available after this initial sale, those club members and seat season ticket holders who had also already purchased a ticket for the match will be given the opportunity to do so again on Friday (3 December) at 17:00 CET.

On Saturday, only Print@Home tickets purchased via the online ticket shop will be valid. As before, these tickets must be presented in printed form when entering SIGNAL IDUNA PARK.

BVB had already announced on Wednesday morning, in light of the ongoing political discussions, that the original advance sale for the Bundesliga big match against Bayern Munich, with a total of 67,000 tickets sold, would be cancelled. All ticket buyers will receive a full refund of the purchase price within 14 days via the respective means of payment used.

BVB also cancelled the activation of seated season tickets planned for the Bayern match on Wednesday morning when it became apparent that capacity restrictions would be imposed - thereby necessitating a new seating plan in the stadium. For this reason, the first instalment of the season tickle price was not collected, nor was the plastic card activated.
