We are only one day into football at Tokyo 2020 and history has already been made.
There were a few eye-catching results in the women’s football on Wednesday with Sweden beating USA 3-0 and Brazil sticking five goals past China.
But the most eye-catching of all saw the Netherlands bag 10 in a demolition of Zambia.
Arsenal star Vivianne Miedema scored four goals, Lieke Martens netted a brace while Jill Roord, Shanice van de Sanden, Lineth Beerensteyn and Victoria Pelova all got in the act for what was a record-breaking result.
But spare a thought for Zambia’s Barbra Banda, who scored a hat-trick and still ended up on the losing side.
