The Netherlands take on the host nation Qatar in the World Cup 2022 group stages. Here we have everything you need to know regarding the fixture.
The Netherlands will be looking to flourish in their last group stage game and finish top of the group. They currently sit there unbeaten on four points after an opening-day win against Senegal and a 1 – 1 draw with Ecuador.
Cody Gakpo has been their shining light in the tournament so far. The target for many big clubs has scored two in two and will be looking to increase his tally against Qatar. However, the host nation will be looking to spoil the party, and as this World Cup has proven – we could be in for another shock result!
This should be a cracker, so here’s everything you need to know about it.
The two sides will face each other on Tuesday 29th November 2022. For those in the UK, the time this Group A match will kick off is at 3 PM GMT.
The match between these two at the 2022 World Cup will be available in the UK on Freeview TV. The TV channel the match will be on is ITV One.
The match will be available to live stream for residents in the UK on ITV X but you will need a TV licence to be able to log in and watch the game. Signing up for ITV X is free and will only take you a minute or two.
The lineups are in! Here is how the two face off.
Netherlands XI: Noppert; Timber, Van Dijk, Ake; Dumfries, De Jong, Klaassen, De Roon, Blind; Gakpo, Depay.
Qatar XI: Barsham; Miguel, Hassan, Mohamad, Khoukhi, Ahmed; Al-Haydos, Hatim, Madibo; Afif, Ali.
Just the one injury woe for either side, and it’s for the Netherlands. Left-winger Noa Lang sustained a foot injury and is a major doubt to feature in this one.
Other than that, neither side have anything that they need to worry about.
The Netherlands are the firm favourites to win this match.
This one should be pretty straightforward. The Dutch need to win to top the group and we don’t think Louis van Gaal‘s side will pass up that opportunity.
