Turkey enjoyed a stunning home win over the Netherlands in a World Cup Qualifier on Wednesday.

The Dutch began their campaign in the worst possible way, losing to a talented and battling Turkey side 4-2.

Burak Yilmaz scored thrice, including a first half penalty, and Hakan Calhanoglu also found the back of the net for the Turks.

Netherlands did score twice through Davy Klaassen and Luuk de Jong, but they did not show enough in the contest to defeat Turkey.

Memphis Depay also missed a penalty late in the game.
