Since the Nerazzurri had already qualified for the Round of 16, Simone Inzaghi decided to field a second-string line-up in Lisbon.

However, the former Ajax man couldn’t seize this opportunity to prove his worth to the club.

The entire team had a torrid first half, allowing Joao Mario to score three goals.

However, many Inter players managed to redeem themselves with a strong showing in the second period, completing a remarkable comeback.

Nevertheless, it was a disappointing overall outing for Klaassen who received a rating of 4.5/10 according to Il Corriere dello Sport via FcInterNews.

The Dutchman was the only one to get a sub-par grade, as Kristjan Asllani and Yann Bisseck were slightly better with a 5/10 rating.

Emil Audero, Matteo Darmian and Stefan de Vrij all received 5.5/10, while Carlos Augusto and his replacement Federico Dimarco earned 6/10. The same goes for Alexis Sanchez, Juan Cuadrado and coach Simone Inzaghi.

The highest rating handed by the Roman newspaper for an Inter player is 6.5/10. The recipients are Davide Frattesi, Marko Arnautovic, Francesco Acerbi, Nicolo Barella and Marcus Thuram.

The Frenchman proved vital once again upon his introduction. He won the spot kick that culminated in Sanchez’s equalizer.

The Nerazzurri will have to beat Real Sociedad in the final match of the group stage to finish on top of the group.
