Neom SC are plotting an ambitious swoop to acquire the services of Strasbourg’s Ismaël Doukouré (21), according to a report from L’Équipe. The Saudi Pro League newcomers are executing an aggressive recruitment effort this summer and the defence is their next area of priority.

As Neom look to bolster their defence, they have targeted the young Strasbourg defender. Doukouré played an important part in Liam Rosenior’s squad last season. The France U21 international made 31 appearances in Ligue 1 as the Racing Club qualified for the UEFA Europa Conference League. It remains to be seen if the 21-year-old would be interested in a move to Saudi Arabia.

A double swoop from BlueCo?

Doukouré is not the only defender that Neom are targeting this summer. The Saudi outfit have also expressed an interest in signing Axel Disasi (27) from Chelsea. Despite their initial interest, no negotiations have yet taken place with the Ligue 1 club.
