Nélson Semedo confirms Wolves exit via Instagram | OneFootball

Nélson Semedo has officially departed Wolverhampton Wanderers following the expiration of his contract on 30 June 2025. The Portuguese right-back is now a free agent.

Semedo confirmed his exit via a post on Instagram, bringing an end to his five-year stay at Molineux. The 31-year-old joined Wolves from Barcelona in September 2020 and went on to make over 180 appearances for the club across all competitions.

As reported by Express & Star journalist Liam Keen, Wolves had been preparing for Semedo’s departure for some time and are actively working on securing a replacement. The club has been reshaping its squad this summer and viewed the right-back position as a key area for reinforcement.

Semedo played an important role during his time at the club, providing energy and experience down the right flank. Though his final season saw increased rotation and competition for places, he remained a respected figure in the dressing room.

With his departure now official, Semedo will assess options for the next chapter of his career. Meanwhile, Wolves continue their preparations for the upcoming Premier League campaign with recruitment efforts ongoing.

No names have yet been linked publicly with the right-back role, but the club is expected to move swiftly in the transfer market.
