Manchester United face Omonia Nicosia on Thursday as they look to mount an immediate response to their derby day drubbing.
And the Cypriot side have been in good form under manager Neil Lennon.
They beat Doxa 2-0 with goals from Bruno Felipe and Roman Bezus on Saturday to bookend the international break with a pair of wins.
A 4-0 thrashing of Enosis Neon Paralimni preceded that break with goals from Nemanja Miletić, Bruno again, Karim Ansarifard, and Panagitios Zachariou.
In their last Europa League game, they put up a good fight against Real Sociedad.
Omonia looked to hold out for a 1-1 draw, but a late goal from Alexander Sorloth left them disappointed by their trip to Spain.
With United needing to rotate given their hectic October schedule, the Red Devils cannot afford to take their in-form opponents lightly.
The Cypriot cup winners could be a potential banana skin if the players coming into the side lose focus.
And Lennon has fired a warning shot ahead of Man United’s visit:
“Every team is beatable on any given day so we must believe we can win.
“We must endeavour to get something out of the game to give ourselves a foothold in the group.”
While United are heavy favourites, they cannot afford to take this Europa League clash lightly.
