Neil Lennon lamented the concession of a “poor goal” after his Celtic side were held to a 1-1 draw at Kilmarnock.
The Bhoys took the lead at Rugby Park through a sixth-minute free-kick from Ryan Christie.
However, the hosts drew level midway through the first half when Nicke Kabamba was pulled back in the penalty area by Christopher Jullien. Chris Burke converted from the spot.
Celtic dominated proceedings thereafter, but were unable to make that count as Killie produced a worthy defensive effort to keep the defending Scottish Premiership champions at bay.
“It was frustrating,” Lennon told Celtic TV after the game.
“We scored a great goal, we gave away a poor goal and then we had all the play in the second half, but we lacked a little bit of conviction in the final third.
“It wasn’t the worst performance I’ve seen from us coming here.
“I’m disappointed we didn’t leave with three points, but you could see that some of the players are still getting up to match speed and match sharpness.”
Lennon’s men are on the road again on Wednesday as they make the short trip to face St Mirren in Paisley.
