Injuries sustained by Mortiz Bauer and Christopher Jullien in Celtic’s win over Kilmarnock have been played down by manager Neil Lennon.

The Stoke City loanee limped off after being hit hard by a second half challenge, while the Frenchman exited with an apparent muscle problem.

But speaking to the media afterwards, the man in charge insisted that the issues are not serious.

“Bauer came in and had an excellent debut and I thought the two centre-halves were really good as well,” said Lennon.

“Moritz’s injury was just a trauma one. He got a bang on it and twisted his ankle a little.

“Christopher felt it a little bit on his hamstring but we think he’ll be fine.

“I’m not getting carried away with the performance but it was a big ask to come back from a demanding game in midweek.

“The lads put in a great performance and they done it in spectacular style.”

A double from Odsonne Édouard and strike from Ryan Christie helped the Hoops come from behind and maintain their 100% start to the season.
