Sheffield Wednesday winger Korede Adedoyin scored four times for the U23s yesterday, which has left many Owls fans calling for him to be involved with Darren Moore’s senior side today.

Wednesday travel to the nation’s capital to take on AFC Wimbledon in what looks likely to be an open and attacking affair.

Moore has got plenty of offensive options to choose from in his current squad but one player that may have fought his way into consideration moving forward is Adedoyin, who starred in the 5-1 win against Peterborough United U23s yesterday.

The 20-year-old was far too much for the Posh to handle – scoring four times to ensure that the Owls took all three points.

His first saw him calmly take the ball round goalkeeper William Larkin after a well-placed ball through, while the Wednesday winger capitalised on a defensive mistake to grab his second.

Adedoyin brought up his hat-trick after just 56 minutes with a stylish turn and finish after being teed up by Lewis Falmer before sliding his fourth beneath Larkin seven minutes before the end.

Have Sheffield Wednesday had a higher or lower average attendance compared to these 23 sides this season?

The former Everton academy product was handed his first-team debut by Moore in the EFL Trophy earlier this year and after yesterday’s performance, many Owls fans are calling for him to be involved against the Dons today…
