At the press conference in Athens, Oliver Glasner turned his focus back to the Bundesliga and spoke about personnel doubts among other things.

Oliver Glasner on...

…personnel: “We’re still hopeful that Filip Kostic and Ajdin Hrustic will be available for Fürth, but we won’t know for sure about them until Sunday.”

...the day after qualifying for the next stage of the Europa League: “Obviously it was a wonderful evening. Everything that we were aiming for came off, but as soon as we got back to the hotel, we started preparing for Fürth.”

...the trip to Greuther Fürth: “We haven’t had much time to prepare for Fürth – we’re picking up today where we left off and having a short training session here in Piraeus and enjoying the favourable conditions we have here to prepare ourselves mentally for Fürth. It’s obviously an important game for us. We want to go into the international break on the back of a win, so we need to be absolutely fully prepared and ready for what promises to be a battle.”

...whether the Olympiacos match can be another turning point in the season: “It’s not the same type of situation as it was after the game against Bayern, because after that, a lot of our players went off a on international duty. We won’t be having a training session in the traditional sense of the word between now and Fürth, but I know that I can always rely on the guys to give it their absolute all, even if things can’t always go perfectly.”

…morale in the squad: “Both against Leipzig and yesterday, we scored important goals in the later stages of the game and that shows that even if everything doesn’t quite go exactly according to plan, we give it our all right up to the final whistle, and that’s what sets this team apart.”

...winning the duels: “We’ve spoken a lot about how we fare in duels. Yesterday it was 41 per cent, while at home it’s usually more than half. Sometimes we seem to run into problems when it comes to winning the one-on-ones, but to counteract that, we’re trying to show the players how to find solutions for avoiding some duels by clever positioning. We’ll need to do that against Fürth to make sure that the opposition don’t manage to get a hold on the game.”
