Ruben Dias and Bernardo Silva helped Portugal clinch a place in the Nations League final with a 2-1 victory over Germany.
The City pair both started for Portugal as they came from behind to win in Munich and set up a meeting with France or Spain who meets in the second semi-final on Thursday night.
After a goalless first half, Germany took the lead shortly after the break when Florian Wirtz headed in Joshua Kimmich’s scooped pass.
The goal stood despite VAR asking referee Slavko Vincic to check the monitor for a possible offside against debutant Nick Woltemade potentially blocking Dias.
But their lead last just 15 minutes before Francisco Conceicao equalised with a superb 20-yard strike, with Dias claiming the assist.
And they were ahead in the 68th minute when Cristiano Ronaldo tapped home from a low cross from Nuno Mendes.
Germany went close to a late leveller when Karim Adeyemi struck the post from a tight angle.
Marc-Andre ter Stegen made an excellent double save from Diogo Jota and Conceicao to keep the home side in it but they couldn’t find their own equaliser.
Portugal will return to Munich for the final on Sunday 8 June, aiming to become the first nation to win the trophy twice.
They won the inaugural Nations League in 2019 when Bernardo was named the Player of the Tournament.
