Southampton forward Nathan Redmond insists he is close to recapturing his impressive form from last season.
The winger finished 2018/19 as the club’s top scorer with nine goals, but has just two under his belt this term.
But Redmond believes everything will click once his ankle troubles are put behind him.
“I got hit with an ankle injury that kept me out for a month,” he told Echo Sport. “I’m just slowly coming back from that I think.
“I don’t know if it’s been impacting my form, but for me, the minimum requirement is to work hard for the team.
“The manager has always said that he wants me to work hard for the team, and that with hard work the goals will come.
“Everything happens for a reason, so I can’t dwell on that. But at the end of the day, I’m slowly coming back to where I was.”
