Nathan Fraser is the name on every Wolves fans tongue at the minute, with the 18-year-old scoring his second professional goal for Wolves.
Nathan is a young local lad who is currently living every kid’s dream, playing for your local club and scoring goals.
However before Wolves, Fraser played for a local grassroots team called Trysull Tigers at the early age of six. He spent two years at the club before Wolves came knocking and furthered his development.
Fraser has spent the past few seasons with the U21s, where he has been comfortable in finding the back of the net. This season in Premier League 2, he has scored three goals within six games.
Nathan has had to wait for his chance with the first team, and did so in style on his first team debut against Blackpool in the league cup when he scored his first professional goal and provided an assist for Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Reports were flying round about Fraser having a loan move to League One side Shrewsbury Town, however Shrewsbury Town’s director of football Micky Moore has confirmed that Wolves are still open to Fraser going on loan, however that is only if Wolves bring another centre-forward in during the January transfer window.
Fantastic work from the academy and it is always special to have a local figure playing for your club.
Could Nathan Fraser have the number nine shirt in a couple of years?
