Manchester City’s squad depth could get tested when domestic football returns.
While the Blues are stacked in defence, an early season injuries to John Stones has left a small hole in the backline, and that hole could get bigger as Nathan Aké has not returned for the second half of the Netherlands’ EURO qualifier against Greece.
The Dutch have a healthy lead in the second half, but the worrying news came at the break when Aké did not return to the pitch after suffering an apparent injury in the first half.
Early reports have suggested that the defender my have tweaked his hamstring.
The Netherlands still have a showdown to come before the return of club football, while Manchester City await West Ham next weekend.
