AC Milan Primavera striker Marco Nasti has revealed what it was like to be called up for the first team and the players he has learned from.

The 18-year-old has 6 goals and 2 assists in 10 games for Federico Giunti’s Primavera side this season so far across all competitions, leading to some suggestions that he might be the next to make a leap to the senior side. Nasti spoke to Milan TV in view of the resumption of the Primavera season, with his comments transcribed by MilanNews.

“It was not easy to restart after a month’s break. We had some good victories, but we have recovered well and are ready for the resumption of the season,” he said.

“We want to continue on the path taken before the break. I always try to put myself at the disposal of the coach and the team. Playing on Saturday and then during the week is a great stimulus also because you play less. Playing so much helps us to work on intensity.”

On training with the first team: “It is an honour to train with great players like Ibrahimovic, Leao, Tomori and Romagnoli. They help you and give you morale.”

On the derby: “All matches are important, but we know that the derby is always a very heartfelt game and we will take the field with the desire to show that we are stronger.”
