Narrow friendly defeat to Sand
Eintracht Frankfurt
Eintracht Women delivered a battling performance in their third winter friendly but lost 1-0 to SC Sand.
After back-to-back friendly wins, Eintracht Women suffered their first mid-season defeat on Thursday afternoon. Sand, who are currently 11th in the FLYERALARM Women’s Bundesliga, were committed and aggressive in the tackle, making it difficult for Niko Arnautis’ side to break them down in the final third. On an afternoon when Sara Doorsoun made her first appearance in Eintracht colours, Chiara Loos broke Frankfurt’s resistance in the 68th minute to earn Sand victory.
