Napoli’s Victor Osimhen on Premier League move: “I would like to play in it one day” | OneFootball

Napoli striker Victor Osimhen has revealed that he does have plans of playing in the Premier League someday in the future.

Osimhen recently signed a new deal with the Partenopei and his contract has a hefty release clause. Premier League clubs and Paris Saint-Germain have been linked with him but a mvoe would only be possible in the summer transfer window and not in January.

Osimhen, who is currently on international duty with Nigeria for the African Cup of Nations, recently spoke about his future in a chat with Sky Italia (via Il Mattino). He revealed that he wants to play in the Premier League in the future but he has some other plans for the near future and he is focused on that.

He said: “For me it is important to have a good relationship with the owner of the team. There have never been any problems between us, what happened has nothing to do with my relationship with him or his family . The president has always supported me, even off the pitch, and I gave my all to win the Scudetto for them too. lt is always important to have this type of relationship with the owner of the club.”

The striker further stated: “Future in the Premier League? Of course I would like to play it one day , for now I have other plans for my career. When the time comes you will know everything.”

Osimhen’s form hasn’t been as spectacular this season as it was last season, as he has faced injuries and suspensions. But AFCON will be a vital period for the striker and he would be hoping to return to action after that for Napoli and help the club seal a spot in the European places.
