Kalidou Koulibaly’s contract at Napoli will run out in June 2023. Reluctant to agree upon an extension at his current club, the Senegalese could leave Italy this summer, bringing a reasonable amount of money to the cash-strapped side.
According to Il Mattino, Kalidou Koulibaly has told his friends that he will never join Juventus after leaving Napoli. The defender reportedly understands the importance of the rivalry between the Partenopei and the Old Lady.
He is also aware of the backlash that he will be receiving from the Napoli fans if he ends up joining the Bianconeri. The 30-year-old has understandably admitted that he will not emulate the path of Gonzalo Higuaín.
Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis will sell the player, but a suitor will need to satisfy his valuation for the centre-back. The club chief is currently demanding a transfer fee of at least €40 million to offload Koulibaly in the approaching summer transfer window.
