Earlier this month it was communicated that Kepa Arrizabalaga was close to joining Napoli.

However, following news broken by Fabrizio Romano, the Spanish keeper is not a priority for the Italians anymore.

Yesterday it was reported that PSG and Napoli are closing in on an agreement regarding the transfer of Fabián Ruiz. It is believed that the two sides are now looking to include Keylor Navas in the deal, which would make the signing of Kepa redundant.

It appears as though Kepa would only join Napoli in the event of the Fabián Ruiz-Keylor Navas deal falling through in the final stage of negotiations.

Chelsea paid the highest ever fee for a goalkeeper when they signed Kepa from Athletic Bilbao in 2018. However, with the arrival of Édouard Mendy in 2020, the 27-year-old has fallen down the pecking order and has been struggling for game time during these past two seasons.
