Napoli are looking to tie down Fabián Ruiz to a new deal in order to ward off strong interest from Manchester City.
That’s according to Neapolitan newspaper Il Mattino who say that the club are hoping to sit down with the midfielder in the coming weeks to discuss terms.
Ruiz has been one of the players of the season so far in Italy but has attracted admiring glances from City, Barcelona and Real Madrid.
A relatively low release clause of €50m is well within the reach of those superclubs, but Il Mattino say that the new extension will not only increase his wages to €100,000-per-week but also take his release clause to €100m.
