At 18:00 CEST on Sunday 21 May, Inter and Napoli will meet for the 154th time in Serie A. So far, the Nerazzurri have 69 wins to their name compared to the Azzurri's 46, with 38 draws completing the picture. Inter have won six of their last nine league matches against Napoli and scored in every single one of these games.
Inter have won their last five Serie A matches, scoring 18 and conceding just three in the process. In all competitions (Serie A, the Champions League and the Coppa Italia), the Nerazzurri have recorded eight consecutive victories. Across these eight games, Inzaghi's side have kept six clean sheets, only shipping goals in their matches against Lazio and Sassuolo.
Inter have scored 49 goals from open play this Serie A season; no team have done better in this regard. Napoli, meanwhile, have found the net the most times from dead ball situations: 25 goals.
Lautaro Martínez has scored 20 goals this league season and is just one away from a personal record (21 in 2021/22). The Argentine and Napoli striker Victor Osimhen are the only two players to have taken at least 100 shots during the current Serie A campaign: both have had 122 attempts at goal.
Lautaro has found the net four times against Napoli in the Italian top flight: since the 2018/19 season, only Ciro Immobile (six goals) has done better than the Nerazzurri attacker in this regard.
Romelu Lukaku has scored three goals in five matches against Napoli in Serie A. He last found the net against the Partenopei on 16 December 2020, when Inter ran out 1-0 winners at San Siro.
Since the start of April, Lukaku has the most goal contributions in the Italian top flight: nine (five goals and four assists). Following directly behind the Belgian striker in this regard is Lautaro Martínez, who has bagged on six occasions and registered two assists.
