Napoli struggling for new Khvicha Kvaratskhelia contract amidst Barcelona interest | OneFootball

Serie A giants Napoli are currently struggling to hand Khvicha Kvaratskhelia a new deal amidst interest from Spanish giants Barcelona.

The Georgian edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport have reported about the future of Kvaratkshelia, whose agent will meet Napoli CEO Aurelio de Laurentiis tomorrow in an attempt to discuss the winger’s potential new deal. The player’s agent could talk about a possibility of a transfer because of how the contract situation currently looks like.

Napoli seem set to offer €4 million per season as part of the new deal, but the player’s current demand stands at €5 million per season. In the meantime, the possibility of Barcelona coming forward for the Georgian has increased. Xavi is said to be quite an admirer of the player and Kvaratskhelia’s future at Napoli has never been this uncertain, it is reported.

Talk has been rife about a new deal for the player but it does seem as if no progress has been made so far.
