Napoli pushing to sign Edon Zhegrova as a replacement for PSG-bound Khvicha Kvaratskhelia | OneFootball

Napoli have seemingly identified Lille winger Edon Zhegrova (25) as the ideal replacement for Kvhicha Kvaratskhelia (23) with the Georgia international heading to PSG in exchange for a €70m transfer fee, according to Sports Zone. The outlet adds that I Partenopei are pushing to sign the Kosovo international. Zhegrova has made no mystery of his desire to leave Lille OSC for a more prestigious European outfit. He reportedly wanted to leave in the summer but Les Dogues refused as they believed that they would receive a higher transfer fee following the club’s Champions League campaign.

With Lille well in the driving seat to at least qualify for the playoff rounds, the Ligue 1 side is primed to get their wish. However, Sports Zone understands that Napoli have so far failed to break Lille’s resolve as Les Dogues intend to retain  Zhegrova under the tutelage of Bruno Genesio. Lille will play table-topping Liverpool away next week before closing their league phase at home against Feyenoord. The outlet adds that Antonio Conte’s Napoli are yet to reach an agreement on personal terms with Zhegrova.
