Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis insists he does not want to part company with Giovanni Di Lorenzo and insists that there are ‘no problems’ with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

De Laurentiis attended Antonio Conte’s unveiling press conference in Naples today, Wednesday, June 26.

Even if Victor Osimhen has a release clause and seemed the most likely Napoli star to leave this summer, Di Lorenzo and Kvaratskhelia’s agents have recently claimed that their clients want to go too.

De Laurentiis confident Di Lorenzo will stay at Napoli

“The captain [Di Lorenzo] is an extraordinary player and a man of great level,” said ADL, as quoted by Tutto Napoli.

“I can understand that he felt a little abandoned in the last games, but I’ve explained to him that it is impossible to let a player like him go. We hope the Euros can restore some serenity.”

Napoli fans booed di Lorenzo in the last home game of 2023-24 and multiple reports have claimed that his agent has reached an agreement with the Partenopei rivals Juventus.

Kvaratskhelia’s future at the Stadio Maradona is also uncertain, but ADL is confident that the Georgian star will stay at the club.

Napoli, De Laurentiis: ‘No problems with Kvaratskhelia’

“There are no problems with Kvara because we have a contract,” the club President insisted.

“We’ll make an offer for a new deal, so I see no problems for him. That being said, somebody can even offer contracts to the players without the club’s authorisation.”

PSG has reportedly offered Kvara a €9m-a-year contract, so ADL probably referred to this.

Kvara was not offered a new deal after Napoli’s historic title win in 2023, so he still earns just €1.5m per season. Conte also said that Kvara will remain at the club beyond the summer.
