Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Victor Osimhen have attracted an army of admirers after propelling Napoli towards the Serie A title but the runaway leaders are not preparing to cash in just yet.
Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport claim that Aurelio De Laurentiis is setting his sights on keeping the pair at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona for another 12 months at least.
The report says that the Partenopei’s president has already set up a meeting with Kvaratskhelia to discuss a new long-term contact after a stellar debut season with the club.
However, negotiations to extend Osimhen’s stay are expected to prove more complicated due to the Nigeria international’s ambition to ply his trade in the Premier League.
Thanks to the pair’s combined 39 goals in all competitions, Napoli appear destined to clinch a first Scudetto since 1990 with a 19-point lead over closest challengers Lazio heading into the final 11 games of this season.
Luciano Spalletti’s side are also set to do battle with domestic rivals AC Milan in next month’s Champions League quarter-finals.
