Serie A champions Napoli are willing to accept a €120 million offer for striker Victor Osimhen, according to Gazzetta dello Sport (June 7 print edition – page 16).

Osimhen was a standout performer this season where his 26 goals saw him become the first player since Zlatan Ibrahimovic in 2009 to pick up the Italian Golden Boot award in a league-winning side.

The striker, who moved to Napoli from Ligue 1 outfit Lille three years ago, could now be set for a summer exit with several European clubs keeping tabs on him ahead of the upcoming transfer window.

While Aurelio De Laurentiis was previously holding out for a €150m fee to part ways with Osimhen, the Napoli president has now reportedly lowered his asking price by €30m.

This is a big boost to Manchester United, who are believed to be leading the race for Osimhen.

However, the Red Devils face competition from Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid.

Despite being arguably the most in-demand striker in Europe, Osimhen remains open about his future and has hinted that he could remain at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium.

“I don’t know, the president has to decide that,” Osimehn told DAZN, as relayed by the Daily Mail.

“I love the people of Napoli. They have shown me so much love – for me, I don’t mind, the president decides and I will just go with the flow.”

“I am grateful to God for this season, for my teammates, my family, for the Neapolitans and they deserve all of this.

“This season has been brilliant for me, my teammates and the Neapolitans. I think I’ve done so well this season and deserve every good thing I’ve got, but I feel motivated to do even more next season.”
