Serie A Champions Napoli are likely to sack manager Rudi Garcia today, with the Frenchman’s position now untenable.
The Partenopei are ten points behind league leaders Inter after their 1-0 loss to Empoli yesterday. They have been inconsistent for the whole season, and such a period of contemplation had arrived even during the previous international break. But it now seems as if Garcia will be sacked.
La Gazzetta dello Sport (via CN24) state that Aurelio de Laurentiis has now made the decision to sack Garcia and the next manager has also been decided. The choice for the new boss is Igor Tudor, who is currently without a club and was even linked with the club some weeks ago.
Sky Italia also state that is obvious that the choice to sack Garcia is now obvious and a meeting will take place later today to make a final decision and the sacking will be made official after that. They also state that Tudor is the choice of the club, with a meeting with his agent having already taken place and an agreement can be found today.
