It’s fair to be ambitious, search for a gifted player, and not spend money just because, but it’d be a black eye if they didn’t land anybody of note. They should have jumped on Patrick Dorgu, as Lecce were eventually talked into selling right away. He’s a different type of player but would have been very useful and raised their ceiling.
