Napoli are interested in signing Borussia Monchengladbach striker Marcus Thuram alongside Inter.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Partenopei are ready to rival the Nerazzurri to sign the 25-year-old Frenchman on a free transfer next summer.

Thuram has no shortage of transfer interest based on his form for Gladbach over the past couple of seasons and the fact that his expiring contract with the German club means that he can leave on a free transfer next summer.

Inter have been one of the Frenchman’s main suitors, particularly in Serie A, having already looked close to signing him during the summer transfer window of 2021.

However, the Nerazzurri are not the only Italian team keen on Thuram’s signature.

Napoli are also big fans of the 25-year-old and are ready to make their move for him, although their current wage structure setting a limit of €3.5 million net per season for new signings could prove an obstacle for them.
