Serie A league leaders Napoli are still looking to sign a replacement for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and they now see Allan Saint-Maximin as a target.
The ex-Newcastle United star is currently on loan at Fenerbahce from Saudi Arabian side Al-Ahli. Gianluca di Marzio has reported that Napoli see him as a key target for the last few days of the January transfer window and he is in pole position to replace Kvaratskhelia.
Antonio Conte has given his approval for the move already and the club are now working towards taking key steps for the move.
But they are running out of time, because of the Frenchman’s contract situation as he is on loan in Turkiye. They would have to resolve the situation by tonight as that is when the transfer window in Saudi Arabia closes. If they manage to do that, the player can be freed by Al Ahli by tomorrow morning.
Even if the clubs can’t make it happen today, they will still try to work on it tomorrow as the move can then become a loan deal.
Fabrizio Romano has reported that there is an agreement over a loan fee between Al Ahli and Napoli but other technical aspects will have to be ironed out.
