Napoli face Garnacho and Adeyemi problems to replace Kvaratskhelia

Napoli’s hunt for an heir to Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is stalling badly, with news Manchester United won’t lower the Alejandro Garnacho asking price and Borussia Dortmund will not sell Karim Adeyemi in January.

The Partenopei have all but completed the sale of Kvaratskhelia to Paris Saint-Germain for a reported fee of €70-75m, which is a massive profit considering he was signed for just €13.3m in the summer of 2022.

Their primary target to replace him was Garnacho, but they find the €80m asking price put forward by Manchester United to be vastly overblown, feeling a more realistic valuation is €50m.

The Telegraph newspaper claim this evening that Manchester United have no intention of lowering their demands, especially now that Chelsea are also interested in the 20-year-old.

Another option on Antonio Conte’s list at Napoli is Adeyemi and Sky Sports Deutschland suggest that Napoli have made a verbal approach for him worth €40m.

However, Borussia Dortmund are only open to a summer sale and will not listen to mid-season proposals.

Napoli in turn are not eager to over-spend for a Kvaratskhelia replacement, considering they are only in Serie A this season and already have David Neres doing well.

With that in mind, they could focus on Deportivo La Coruna winger Yeremay Hernandez, who has a €20m release clause in his contract.

Sky Sport Italia note that fellow Serie A side Como are already in negotiations for him too.
