Real Madrid’s priorities start to make sense as they edge closer to the summer transfer window. Kylian Mbappe, of course, is at the top of this list, with the move expected to become a reality at the end of this season after nearly a five-year pursuit.

Alphonso Davies and Leny Yoro are two more players Madrid have been eyeing. The former will likely leave Bayern Munich this summer, and cost around €30-50 million, while the latter’s price tag is set at €100 million.

With Vinicius Jr, Rodrygo, and Jude Bellingham firing on all fronts, and Brahim Diaz and Joselu taking up deputy roles, Madrid’s squad seems set for next season.

However, this does open up the exit door for Arda Guler, who has already been out of favour the entirety of this season, playing less than 100 minutes all league season.

A fair few teams have already opened their doors for Guler’s loan arrival, a list that includes AC Milan, Borussia Dortmund, and Bayer Leverkusen among ten or more clubs, reportedly.

Napoli eyeing summer loan

And it seems there are now a new team in this list, as Fabrizio Romano (h/t MadridXtra) reports that Napoli are eyeing a move for Arda Guler on loan.

The Italian giants enjoyed a spectacular season in the Serie A last year, winning the Scudetto, but have fallen down the ladder this time around after Luciano Spalletti departed the club as manager to join the Italian National Team.

Napoli are currently languishing in 9th place, nine points clear off the Champions League spots and five off any European competition.

Their dreams of bringing in Guler on loan could take a huge hit in the summer if they are unable to qualify for the Europa League and Conference League, let alone the UCL.

Guler does not want to leave

While there have been rumours claiming that Carlo Ancelotti’s coaching staff has advised Guler to leave on loan next season, it seems that the Turkish international is not contemplating an exit right now.

He believes he can fight for his place in the team next season alongside Rodrygo, Brahim Diaz, and Joselu.

At the end, Madrid will likely allow him to take the call on his future. If the player wants to leave on loan for minutes, they will facilitate his departure, otherwise the option to continue at the club is also open.
