Napoli aren’t following only Lorenzo Lucca to fortify their attack in the summer, as they have been monitoring Ange-Yoan Bonny all year long. The Azzurri had been attached to him also ahead of the January window but didn’t make a move to sign him back then.

According to Relevo’s Mattia Moretto, the parties are in touch. The youngster is on the Partenopei’s list and is a more attainable target than the Udinese star. He’s worth around €15/20M. Instead, multiple sides are chasing after the Italian center-forward. His valuation is more than €30M.

New Parma director Federico Cherubini was quizzed about Napoli eyeing Bonny before the last game against Hellas Verona.

“We’re a young team. It’s pleasing to see that our players are generating interest, but we’re only focused on staying in Serie A at the moment.”

The Ducali acted preventively in January and added two strikers: Milan Djuric from Monza and Mateo Pellegrino from Velez Sarsfield. The 21-year-old had gotten off to a brilliant start but then fall into a slump as the performances of his team deteriorated. He’s up to 6 goals and 2 assists in 30 matches.

Our Take on Napoli and Bonny

He’s similar to Romelu Lukaku trait-wise so, if they want a clear deputy who wouldn’t change their game plan, he’d be a swell target who wouldn’t break the bank. They could perhaps even keep Giovanni Simeone to have variety. He seemed set for a helluva campaign but hasn’t kept up his early scoring. He could be more clutch in the box but he is still an intriguing prospect for his combination of size and mobility and his passing chops.
