Napoli confirm new deal for defender

Mario Rui has extended his contract with Napoli, the Serie A champions have announced.

The 32-year-old has been at the Partenopei since 2017, when he initially arrived on loan.

And he will remain until at least the summer of 2026 after penning a new deal.

Rui is one game shy of reaching the 200-appearance mark for Napoli and has won a Scudetto and Coppa Italia during his time at the club.
