Napoli CEO Aurelio de Laurentiis has revealed that the club already knew beforehand that striker Victor Osimhen would head to Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain or the Premier League.
The Nigerian recently gave an interview where he hinted that he will leave Napoli in the summer, stating that he has made his plans for next season but he is currently focused on finishing things well this season for the Partenopei.
Osimhen has been linked with a move to Arsenal and Chelsea in recent weeks, with the Nigerian said to be interested in a move to England.
In an interview with TMW, De Laurentiis spoke about the striker’s future and he stated: “We knew it since last summer. Our negotiations were long and amicable, we were dragging things out but we knew that he would go to Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain or some English team.”
Osimhen has faced injury issues and suspensions this season but he has still been an important goalscorer for the club. He was vital in the march to the Scudetto last season and recently signed a new deal, which has a big release clause. De Laurentiis is said to be keen on making sure that suitors pay that clause.
