Napoli CEO dedicates Lazio win to Maradona

Napoli CEO Aurelio de Laurentiis has dedicated the club’s 4-0 win over Lazio to Diego Maradona.

Dries Mertens came up with a brace and with an impressive performance in Naples to help Napoli get the 4-0 win to stay at the top of the league. Piotr Zielinski and Fabian Ruiz scored one each to make sure that Maurizio Sarri tasted defeat in his return to Naples.

After the game, De Laurentiis tweeted: “An extraordinary victory in the name of Maradona! Forza Napoli Sempre.”

The win for Napoli came after Milan lost 3-1 to Sassuolo and missed out on the chance to go top of the table and there is now a 3-point gap between the sides.
