Napoli have confirmed the arrival of striker Giovanni Simeone from Hellas Verona.
The news was announced, as is customary with club transfers, by club president Aurelio De Laurentiis on his private Twitter account prior to the club confirming the deal themselves.
Simeone arrives on an initial loan deal which the Partenopei will pay €3.5m for before the move will be made permanent next summer for a fee of €12m.
It is set to be the first signing of three exciting additions at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona this week.
Fellow striker Giacomo Raspadori is also set to arrive from Sassuolo for a reported €35m plus bonuses as Napoli aim to replace the goals of departed all-time top goalscorer Dries Mertens.
Highlights only available in the UK and Republic of Ireland
Tanguy Ndombele is also undergoing a medical in Rome ahead of arriving on loan from Tottenham.
That deal includes an option for Napoli to make the move permanent next summer for €30m should they wish to do so.
