Napoli have reportedly struck an agreement with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia over a contract extension.
As reported by Foot Mercato, the Partenopei have agreed to extend the Georgian’s contract for an additional year until 2028 and raise his wages from €1.5 million to €4m, including bonuses.
The Partenopei have thus put an end to the rumours linking him with an exit this summer amid interest from European heavyweights like Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester City, Chelsea and Real Madrid.
The report also adds that Napoli are not willing to listen to offers for the prodigious winger until the summer of 2024.
Kvaratskhelia hit the ground running in his debut season in Serie A, making his mark as one of the best wingers in Europe at present.
A prolific return of 14 goals and 16 assists, combined with some breathtaking performances, have earned him the nickname Kvaradona, after legendary Diego Maradona.
The Georgian youngster has formed a prolific partnership with Victor Osimhen in the attack, with the latter leading the Serie A scoring charts (21 goals).
Both have been pivotal in Napoli’s remarkable run this season, with Luciano Spalletti’s side currently at the top of Serie A by a landslide while they are also in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
Like Kvaratskhelia, Osimhen also turns out to be one of the sought-after players, with half of Europe’s top clubs hot on his trail.
Manchester United, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain are said to be keen on the Nigerian international, who would cost around a whopping €120m.
However, the Partenopei are maximising their efforts to keep the Super Eagles striker beyond the summer, although he appears to be not ready yet to commit his future to the club.
