According to a report from Foot Mercato, FC Nantes have submitted an offer for Olympique Lyonnais midfielder Mahamadou Diawara (19).
Last season, Diawara played 12 matches for Lyon’s first team, including four starts in Ligue 1, following his free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer. However, after just one season at the Groupama Stadium, he may already be about to depart.
As per Foot Mercato, Les Canaris have lodged a bid for Diawara. The offer is for a loan, with the option of making the deal permanent at the end of the season. Antoine Kombouaré, who arrived late in the season to save Nantes from relegation to Ligue 2, has made the France youth international midfielder one of his priorities in the current transfer window. The manager has been clear and vocal in his desire for FCN’s squad to be refreshed this summer. OL’s stance regarding a departure for the midfielder is not yet known.
