According to Ouest-France, FC Nantes are set to complete the loan signing of Sheffield United winger Bénie Traoré (21).
One of Nantes’ major objectives in the January transfer window was to find a winger that could compensate for the absence of Moses Simon, whilst the Nigerian is away on international duty at the Africa Cup of Nations. Les Canaris have quickly found their man.
Traoré is set to complete a simple six-month loan spell to Jocelyn Gourvennec’s side. The Ivorian winger joined Sheffield United from BK Häcken in the summer, having scored 24 goals in 57 matches with the Swedish side. However, he has played just 66 minutes across three matches for Sheffield United, who are rooted to the bottom of the Premier League table.
At FC Nantes, Traoré, who is also capable of playing through the middle, will garner the game time required in order to further his development.
