Currently 17th in the Championship standings, City will be keen to push on at this level by picking up some positive results in their upcoming fixtures.

Set to face a Reading side who are currently facing the prospect of being dragged into a relegation battle, it will be intriguing to see how the Robins will fare in this fixture.

Having deployed a 3-4-1-2 formation on several occasions this season, Nigel Pearson may opt to use this system tomorrow.

Daniel Bentley could replace Max O’Leary in the goalkeeping position after recently recovering from Covid.

Cameron Pring, Timm Klose and Tomas Kalas will be tasked with providing defensive cover for Bentley in their centre-back positions.

Callum O’Dowda and Jay Dasilva will feature in the wing-back positions whilst Alex Scott and Han-Noah Massengo will play in central-midfield.

Andreas Weimann is likely to line up in a more advanced central role behind Antoine Semenyo and Nahki Wells.

Wells was brought on as a substitute in the club’s clash with Blackpool and went on to produce an encouraging cameo display as he scored at Bloomfield Road.

Providing that the 31-year-old is able to build upon this display by delivering the goods in the club’s upcoming fixtures, he could claim a regular spot in the club’s starting eleven.

Meanwhile, fellow forward Semenyo will fancy his chances of adding to the 10 direct goal contributions that he has provided in the Championship this season against a Reading side who have failed to keep a clean-sheet in each of their last 16 league fixtures.
