Bayern Munich coach Julian Nagelsmann spoke to reporters on Monday ahead of his side’s Bundesliga clash with FC Köln.
Here is what he had to say.
On Köln’s threat
“The seven goals they scored will give Köln confidence. They play a very attacking, brave style of football. We need to be prepared to deliver a passionate performance tomorrow and prove ourselves.”
On Upamecano’s fitness
“Everyone is feeling good. Dayot Upamecano is dealing with a minor toe problem, and he ended training early. But I don’t think it’s anything that will keep him from playing.”
On Yann Sommer’s debut
“He did a great job and knows how to play. If you’re taking risks, then it’s okay to make mistakes every now and then. It’s always about weighing those risks. He did well and I was very pleased with him.”
