‘My old friend’ – Bayern Munich star sends message to Barcelona boss Flick after UCL draw | OneFootball

Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has on Thursday received a special message, by way of one of his former players.

This comes after the German tactician was pitted against ex-club Bayern Munich in the draw for the latest edition of the Champions League.

The new-look ‘league phase’ of European football’s premiere competition was made official by UEFA a short time ago.

As part of the draw, a whole host of the continent’s leading clubs were pitted against one another, including the aforementioned Barca, and Bayern.

This, of course, means that new Blaugrana boss Hansi Flick is in line for an emotional reunion with the club whom he guided to a historic treble.

And, upon learning of as much, a long-time member of Bayern Munich’s squad, in turn, forwarded a message to his ex-manager.

In a post on social media, Thomas Müller unveiled footage of himself reacting to the draw, during which the retired German international assured:

“I’m very excited to meet my old friend, Hansi Flick, with FC Barcelona!”
