USA international Yonus Musah was unanimously among Milan’s best-performing players in their outstanding 3-1 victory away to Real Madrid, as the midfielder was praised for his ability to constantly support his teammates both in defence and attack.
The 21-year-old theoretically started his first Champions League match of the season at the Santiago Bernabeu as an offensive right winger in a 4-2-3-1 setup but made his presence felt in almost every area of the pitch.
He was tasked with ‘doubling up’ Vinicius Junior but also leading his side’s counter-attacks when he had the chance to, as observed by Tuttomercatoweb.

Tuttosport also underlined how his duty to help Emerson Royal limit the Brazilian star was a ‘mission accomplished’ and Corriere dello Sport claimed that his display tipped the scale in Milan’s favour.
Corriere della Sera highlighted how his tireless run, up and down the right flank, transformed Rossoneri’s back-four into a five-man defence when needed, as his performance was defined as ‘superb’ in terms of rhythm and ‘tactical attention’.
La Repubblica further praised Musah’s versatility, writing that ‘he does everything, and does it very well’, as the newspaper pointed out he was seen acting as a full-back, holding midfielder and winger.
